The Standard and Wawanesa Support Sioux Lookout MRI Project

We’re proud to partner with Wawanesa Insurance to support the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre Foundation’s capital fund project to bring a new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner to Sioux Lookout. 

For many patients in Northwestern Ontario, accessing advanced diagnostic services has meant travelling long distances to larger urban centres. The addition of an MRI scanner in Sioux Lookout will change that by offering convenient, local access to critical diagnostic tools. This upgrade will not only enhance the quality of care, but also ease the stress and financial burden of travel for countless individuals and families who would rely on these services.

Together with Wawanesa Insurance, we are proud to commit a combined total of $25,000 over two years in 2024 and 2025 to help make this project a reality. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to the strength and well-being of the communities we serve.
