Auto Insurance in Ontario
Ontario law requires drivers to have the following car insurance coverage: Liability, Accident Benefits, Uninsured Automobile and Direct Compensation. Your car insurance should reflect whether you use your vehicle for business, personal use or recreation.
- Liability Insurance
Coverage for you in the case that someone else is injured or killed, or their property is damaged, in an automobile accident. Liability insurance will pay for legitimate claims against you up to the limit of your coverage.
- Accident Benefits
Insurance benefits that you are entitled to receive if injured or killed in an automobile accident. Some benefits include income replacement, payment of medical, rehabilitation/attendant care, funeral expenses and payments to survivors of a person who is killed.
- Uninsured Automobile
Provides coverage if you are injured or killed by an uninsured motorist, or by a hit and run driver. It also covers damage to your automobile and its contents caused by an identified uninsured motorist, subject to a deductible.
- Direct Compensation
Provides coverage under certain conditions, for damage to your automobile where another Ontario motorist is responsible. It is called direct compensation because your insurer will pay for the damages even though you are not at fault for the accident.
We are proud to offer insurance for any unique or additional needs you may have, including coverage for direct and accidental loss of or damage to your automobile and its contents and equipment.
- Specified Perils
Covers your vehicle against loss or damage caused by specified perils such as fire, theft, hail, lightning, and falling objects (to name a few).
Covers your vehicle against loss or damage other than those covered by Collision including perils listed under Specified Perils.
- Collision or Upset
Covers damage when your vehicle is involved in a collision with another object or tips over.
- All Perils
Combines Collision and Comprehensive coverage.
